The Bio-Medicine Academy is a career academy in which students are interested in pursuing a profession in the medical industry.
Bio-Medicine students are required to take an Academy Focus Course in the Bio-Medicine Academy each academic year. Freshmen year students are enrolled in Science Safety, Careers and Bioengineering Honors; Sophomore year, Epidemiology & Experimental Design Honors; Junior year, Medical Terminology Honors; and Senior year, Pharmacology and Bioethics Honors.
Successful completion of Epidemiology and Experimental Design, enables students to earn three college credits from Bergen Community College. In order to receive a Bergen Community College transcript, students must successfully pass the midterm and the final examination for this course.
Many courses in the Bio-Medicine Academy are open to all students in the school. These include Astronomy, Marine Biology, Optics, Biophysics, Medibotics, Pharmacology Botany, Meteorology, Virology, Electricity & Microbiology, Zoology, and Magnetism.Department Staff
