The Information Systems Academy is a career academy in which students are interested in understanding how networks and business computing work.The curriculum draws together information on networks by Cisco Information Systems and Computer Operating Systems from Microsoft. Successful students qualify for the CompTia A+, CompTia Server+ and MCDST (Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technicians ) certifications by these companies. Four years of classes include, CompTia A+ Certification, Advanced Networked Systems, Programming in Java and Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician.
Many courses in Information Systems Academy are open to all students in the school. These include Intro to Technology, Advanced Web Design, Intro to Databases and SQL, Programming Concepts for Robotics, Digital Design 1 and 2, Digital Photography 1 and 2, Flash Animation, Visual Basic and Video Production.
The structure of the Information Systems Academy is fluid and it is adjusted to reflect the trends of industry for Information Systems professionals.
