Ludwig van Beethoven

Ludwig van Beethoven was one of the most influential and greatest composers that ever lived. Beethoven surmounted over numerous tragedies and accomplished many musical achievements. Ludwig van Beethoven was born on 1770 in Bonn.


Beethoven was a child prodigy and gave his first public appearance on March 26, 1778 when he was only 8 years old. In 1787, Ludwig moved to Vienna, the cultural center of Europe. Two of Beethoven's comtempraries were Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Joseph Hayd who were famous musicians of their time. In 1800, Ludwig Van Beethoven had his first benefit concert and launched his first symphony that included the premiere of his Symphony No. 1 and Septet op.20.


Unfortunately, in his late 20's something terrible happened to Beethoven's body. He began to grow deaf, which caused great anxiety in his life. Through it all, Beethoven wrote 9 symphonies. This famous composer died on 1827, but his legacy and his music will live forever.
