The Academy Of Information Systems is a career academy in which students are interested in understanding how networks and business computing work.
The curriculum draws together information on networks by Cisco Information Systems and Computer Operating Systems from Microsoft. Successful students qualify for the CompTia A+, CompTia Server+ and MCDST (Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technicians ) certifications by these companies.
Four years of classes include, Introduction to Networking, Advanced Networked Systems, Java Programming and Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician.
Many courses in the AOIS are open to all students in the School. These include Intro to Information Techology, Intro to Databases, Digital Design 1 and 2, Digital Photography, Web Animation, Programming, Visual Basic, Amateur (Ham) Radio, and Video Production.
The structure of the Information System Academy is fluid and it is adjusted to reflect the trends of industry for Information Systems professionals.
